Elements Dragon's Blood Incense Cones

£1.00

Although the box states that dragons are powerful mythical creatures, believed to have supernatural powers and great wisdom, I can sincedrely promise all of my customers that this incense was not derived from the blood of dragons.

The Dragon's Blood resin is in fact obtained from a number of distinct plant genera.  Some medieval encyclopaedias claimed it's source as the literal blood of elephants and dragons that had died in mortal combat.  Dracaena ("true" Dragon's Blood) and also Calamus resins are both marketed today with little or no distinction between them.

The scent of Drasgon's Blood is distinctly floral with musky undertones.  The two main properties of ingested Dragon's Blood are as a muscle relaxant and an abortifacient.  However, as an incense these properties are not applicable, just enjoy the lovely, warm scent exuded by the cones.

This pack of incense does not come with a burner like some of the Japanese products do, but I sell several wooden holders specifically suitable for cones (see Incense Accessories).
